 CONTINUING EDUCATION
 LECTURE SERIES

HaMakom's Continuing Education Lecture Series is entering its seventh year of thought-provoking talks and stimulating discussions. Prior speakers have included authors, artists, musicians, journalists, anthropologists and religious leaders, among others. This ever-popular program meets the third Thursday of the month at 7 PM.

 BOOK CLUB

Our Book Club is an opportunity to dig deeper into literature by Jewish authors. Eight books are selected each year based on member recommendations. The Book Club meets on Sundays, usually around brunch time in a member's home. Recent selections include Everything is Illuminated, The Rabbi's Cat and Amen, Amen, Amen.

YIDDISHKEIT PROGRAM

Want to hear some "mamaloshen", sing a "bissel", and enjoy the joys of Yiddish with others? Join our new Yiddishkeit group.

HAMAKOM JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL

The HaMakom Jewish Film Festival brings to Santa Fe award-winning films that inform viewers about Jewish culture, arts, history, religion or tell the story of a Jewish individual of note.

Started last year to sold-out audiences, the Festival transforms "going to the movies" to a "movie-going experience". Each film is followed by a discussion, speaker or interview with the filmmaker. These are some of the best films playing the Jewish and International Film Festival Circuits world-wide.

JUDAIC STUDIES

For those seeking a stronger and more meaningful connection to Jewish tradition, HaMakom's Judaic Studies is for you. Interested in Talmud or in-depth Torah study? A Torah Study class (focusing on Rashi's commentary) is held before services on most Shabbats at 8:45 AM. A weekday Talmud group meets on Thursday mornings. No experience necessary! For information, see the Torah and Talmud Study page.

The Entering the Heart of Judaism program provides a path to becoming an adult B'Nai Mitzvah or for Conversion. Torah Trope classes and special workshops are also offered from time to time.
